Ever have one of those days?

You know, when it's cold and rainy
and you just want to stay inside and read a good book?

But, sometimes you have to get out and do what you have to do,
regardless of the weather.

Like feed your child.
What a great Dad!

The rain brought out a lot of other birds in search of seeds.

The little ones, like these goldfinch, tug at my heart even on a sunny day because they are so small and cheerful.  Seeing them being buffeted by the wind and blasted by the rain makes me want to rush out and protect them.

I think I'll go refill their seeds :)

  1. You have a nice group of birds around your feeders. So beautiful with the rain. I imagine they like it as well.....a free bath:) I'll have one of those days tomorrow, but it's so off to work I go this morning:( So glad Friday is here. Enjoy the wonderful rain.

    1. A lot of these birds will be off to warmer places soon so I am enjoying every last bit of their company. We're going into the cold, shivery, catch-an-illness rains of fall, not refreshing, just depressing, boo! But, with it comes nature's dazzling Autumn parade of yellows, golds and reds :) Enjoy your weekend!
