This is the rose-coloured view through which I choose to see the world.
My garden grounds me.
As long as my feet are planted in Mother Earth the world makes sense.
This fierce-looking wasp is just trying to get some nectar like everyone else; what a wonderful metaphor.
Because nature is cyclical, life's hardships fall into perspective.
Of course there are days when I feel like I'm just hanging on.
When the world feels chaotic I take refuge in my garden.
I hope you have somewhere that is sweet and beautiful, a place where you can retreat and recharge.
true enough

I find my garden has the same effect on me also, very pleasant despite the weeds or lack of care.
ReplyDeleteYour pink flowers are beautiful and the bee and wasp look amazing.
Thank you for you lovely comment on my blog.
Each of these shots in the post you mentioned are taken outside while the plant is still growing. I used my 50mm 1.4 lens on my Canon DSLR with a Raynox macro conversion lens as seen here

I focus manually while only 2-5 inches away from my subject. I can't fit much within the frame but that's ok.
Wonderful photographs.
ReplyDeleteI love the romantic color.
It's beautiful!
