I don't know what it is with hair bangs this year, but quite a few of my sunflowers are sporting this hairstyle. Must be an abundance of teenagers in the group!
This is another oddity, petals hiding the face - the look of surprise!

What do you think of this?
Here's one that is truly unique, sprouting new buds from the centre of its face.

Finding itself different from the others, it hung its head in shame.
But that's just silly...
It is Be-YOU-tiful!
Hello Rosemary,
ReplyDeleteVery wonderful and different shots of these sunflowers. Fantastic with a great light.
Funny that hairstyle,..hihi..!!
Many greetings,
Marco
Thanks Marco, I'm glad you like my sense of humour :)

That is some great stuff. Love how you find these connections. Very funny and interesting comparisons. Hope you're having a good morning. Chris
ReplyDeleteThanks Chris, I'm lucky my sunflowers put up with me making fun of them :)
DeleteHumour and beauty - very clever and interesting Rosemary, and as usual beautiful flowers from your garden.
ReplyDeleteThank you Rosemary, a little humour goes a long way! The sunflowers are the biggest, tallest, brightest flowers in my garden right now and they are hogging all my attention :)
DeleteThese are absolutely perfect personifications of your beautiful flowers! Your post definitely made me smile:)
ReplyDeleteThank you Tammy, they are the first thing I see when I step into the garden and they catch my attention like a bunch of crazy friends :)
DeleteI love the comparisons to the pictures! :o) I think the last sunflower may have aster yellows, which causes odd petal growth.
ReplyDeleteI googled aster yellows and I think you're right, that is so interesting. A second flower has bloomed in its centre and the top is now so heavy, the poor thing can barely keep its head up. Wait until the squirrels discover it!
DeleteBelli i tuoi scatti, il girasole mi piace moltissimo!! buona giornata...ciao
ReplyDeleteThank you Giancarlo, have a wonderful day as well :)
DeleteRosemary! Super zdjęcia! Bardzo wesołe i śmieszne porównanie, super! hihihi
ReplyDeleteI'm glad they made you laugh :) Thank you!

Yes, the last one is very large and different, thank you :)
DeleteLove your great sense of humor! Had me giggling :))
ReplyDeleteBut whatever happened to garden fairy this time? Those are unique and spectacular flowers Rosemary, you don't see them often.
I'm glad this made you laugh :) The sunflowers are the tallest, brightest stars in my garden right now. I just love them :)
DeleteWhat a cute post! I have no idea why your sunflowers would do this, but I really like their individuality!
ReplyDeleteThey must take after their gardener :))
DeleteThese are lovely! Sunflowers are so pretty.oh no, this is not silliness -this is the sense of sunflower, really this is superb:)
