Zen Master

Just think of the trees:
They let the birds perch and fly,
with no intention to call them when they come
and no longing for their return when they fly away.
If people's hearts can be like the trees,
they will not be off the Way.

The Cold Truth

Silly Montrealers...
We've been watching the snow melt at a rapid pace over the last few days.  We let down our guard and tossed our jackets and boots aside.
Spring is really here, we believed.
Silly us.
Today Mother Nature delivered the cold truth:
huge, wet, icy, splotches of snow.
Happy Spring!

Fresh snow overnight...

The hearts that love
will never know winter's frost and
Chill.
Summer's warmth is in them
Still.

The Neighbourhood Watch(ers)

My friend and neighbor through the year,
Self-appointed overseer.
Always groomed to tip of feather,
Clam and trim in every weather.

Waiting for spring

My garden fairy is still wearing her crown of snow, so I guess we will be waiting a little while longer for Spring to return.

Not feeling the magic!

As we enter our fifth month of winter, the Frog King and I have decided that the snow is not so magical after all.
