There is a touch of melancholy to this time of day,
a sense of the end,
as if the light touches everything for the last time.
I stopped to capture the moment with my camera
when a funny thing happened...
This is what I found in my viewfinder.
My fingers halted their movements to focus the shot any further.
I let the light chase away everything but this moment;
This moment filled with magic.
Like an impressionist painting, this shot captured the sensation of the light instead of the details.
I have a very smart camera :)
The next time you're out for a walk
and the sun is playing peekaboo with you,
let it get your attention.
It has a little magic to share with you.
So poetic, Rosemary, and so wonderful to stop and listen to what nature is telling you. In my book trailer for Koicto, I was talking about dreaming...the video camera took it's time to focus, and though a mistake, it was perfect. I must now ask, was it really a mistake?
ReplyDeleteThank you Amy, being writers makes us sharp observers. I think nature is the ultimate writer/artist!
DeleteRosemary!
ReplyDeleteYou stopped the most beautiful moments!
Lucia
Thank you Lucia, I thank my camera :)

DeleteHi Rosemary,
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, thanks for your comment on my post!
Beautiful as usual. The right moment for all this beauty and magic.
Thanks for sharing it. I think you smart camera is a C...A...N...O...N...?
You're welcome Willy, I love visiting your blog :) I'm wondering how you could know my camera is a Canon, because you are right!
DeleteSuch gorgeous pictures and words! Let's see, it seems as if it's been a long time since the sun played peek a boo with us in the soggy northwest. Mostly it's been playing the "I'm hibernating above this thick blanket of clouds until July" game. If I see the old fellow again, I'll certainly suggest your game as it seems much nicer.
ReplyDeleteAw, I'm sorry the sun is acting like a distant friend where you live. Sunshine makes the winter go by a lot faster :)
DeleteBardzo ciekawe i ładne zdjęcia, gratuluję :)
ReplyDeleteVery interesting and nice pictures, congratulations :)
Thank you Giga!
DeleteGreat shots, it's romantic! Your camera knows you and take photos well.
ReplyDeleteThank you Nadezda, it's nice thinking of my camera as a good friend :)

ReplyDeleteOh, thank you Jill, sweet of you to say that :)
DeleteA wonderful little game of light and shadow. Happy new year!
ReplyDeleteI do like playing games with light and shadow, my camera likes playing games with the focus (not always with my consent :) Happy New Year to you as well!
DeleteI love the way you interpret your photography. You see things differently, which I really enjoy. :o) I love the idea of a picture that shows a sensation instead of a concrete fact.
ReplyDeleteThank you, I'm glad you like my way of looking at the world :) I feel the same way about your wonderful posts!
DeleteSometimes a camera is like a magic toy, making old things "new". You DO have a clever camera!
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with you, a camera is a magic toy indeed!
DeleteRosemarie This is the nature that you see when you wandeld and your eye catches moments that the sun through the branches is SUPER!
ReplyDeleteRegards, Annie
Aunnula that's exactly how it happened, it's nice when your camera helps you out!

ReplyDeleteHigh time I get it too and get 'clever' :)
You are clever too Rosemary for being able to 'see' those magical moments!
