You have been invited to a special event.
On this very cold day,
the second day of the New Year,
the forest glitters with the lights of a thousand candelabras.
Silverware has been polished and is out on display.
Lights have been set to maximize the sparkle and shine.
Winter has decorated with her finest accessories and invites you to join her outside and share in her celebrations.
Gorgeous pictures! You caught that light and the beautiful sky in a magical way.
ReplyDeleteBye,
Marian
Thank you Marian, usually we get a visual prize the colder it gets, I think it's to entice us outside :)
DeleteA lovely (but chilly) invitation ! We're chilling out at -23C at the moment ... brrr.
ReplyDeleteA (belated) Happy New Year, Rosemary.
Oooo Rick, that's colder than we are right now, brrr is right! Stay warm :)
DeleteNice shots with lovely light...... good work Rosemary.
ReplyDeleteWarm greetings from Holland...here it's now + 10 C

ReplyDeleteThank you Gary, nature knows how to make herself irresistible :)
DeleteRosemary, stunning pictures! I think the branches were frozen and thin ice on them shines in sun rays. Doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteThank you Nadezda, I agree, ice in the sun is truly beautiful :)
DeleteWinter is sparkling and glittering beautifully in your area!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures!

Thank you Irma, I am enjoying this perfect winter knowing spring can't be far away :)

Thank you Fernando, Happy New Year to you as well!
DeleteHow elegantly Winter sets her table. I always think of winter as a very refined season, even though it can have the harshest weather. But it just looks so very high class most of the time!
ReplyDeleteYou're so right Laurrie, everything is pristine and sharp :)
DeleteHi Rosemary, Thanx for your invitation. Great we also may enjoy your winter adventures. We have no more winter scenes in Holland. Irma and Joop already mentioned in their comments: + 10 C and it seems spring.
ReplyDeleteKeep enjoying the winter but stay warm.
Willy
I think we like to complain when it is cold, but miss it when it is not, right? I am enjoying the snow and the winter while I have it!
DeleteThank you for the invitation, I wish I could attend the event, it looks so lovely and inviting! Winter is so many different things, depending on where we live and the weather at any given day. Here in London, no day is the same, all year round, including winter. Every sunny, crips winter day is like a precious gift :-)
ReplyDeleteTake care, Helene.
So true Helene, the best attitude is to enjoy, or make the best of what we get :)
DeletePreciosa entrada, las fotografías son preciosas! .La verdad es que la naturaleza es lo más bello. Un abrazo grande.
ReplyDeleteThank you Silvina, nature does have a way of making everything beautiful :)
DeleteA beautiful "silver look" in these pictures!
ReplyDeleteThank you Gunnar, sunlight does wonderful things to ice and snow!
