such a beautiful bird. oh, what a great idea to feed them peanuts. yummy treat. (:
ReplyDeleteThey are very quiet and flit back and forth, wonderful company in the garden :)
DeleteLovely these little birds..... good pictures Rosemary.
ReplyDeleteGreetings, Joop
Thanks Joop, have a wonderful weekend :)
DeleteBeautiful pictures of this beautiful bird Rosemary, this is not in the Netherlands, I think.
ReplyDeleteThis bird has a very sweet personality it's too bad you cannot have him in your garden as well :)
DeleteUn petit oiseau qui me semble rempli de malice... Il est certes très acrobate ! Merci de nous faire partager ces bons moment d'observation grâce à ces photos sublimes. Vous avez une belle âme...
ReplyDeleteGros bisous
This bird is such wonderful company in the garden, flying back and forth, making soft chirping sounds, he can steal the peanuts any time he likes!
DeleteHi Rosemary, this White-breasted Nuthatch is beautiful! It does look quite skillful at extracting those nuts!
ReplyDeleteYes Tammy, the ability to cling onto the feeder and twist every which way with that very long narrow beak at his disposal, the other birds don't stand a chance!
DeleteInpressionate your photos. I like them
ReplyDeletevery much. Beautiful harvest! hug
Thank you, I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
DeleteNie dość, że piękny ptak, to ma jeszcze śliczne zdjęcia. Pozdrawiam.
ReplyDeleteNot only that beautiful bird, you have beautiful pictures. Yours.
Thank you Giga :)
DeleteWe have Nuthatchs too, but ours have a grey/blue jacket, a white shirt and a very slick amber and black bar across their eyes. I love to see them hanging upside down on the nuts jabbing away for all they are worth. Gorgeous little birds.
ReplyDeleteI love the different character that each type of bird has :) This one is so mild-mannered, even his chirp is low-toned and soft. We also have the red-breasted nuthatch with a bluish jacket and amber chest but I haven't managed to get a focused shot of him yet.
DeleteLovely curious bird!
ReplyDeletebeautiful colours!
Have a nice day!
xoxo, Juliana

ReplyDeleteThank Silvina :)
DeleteAwesome!! Aren't they fun to watch...meep meep!!! Pause. meep meep!!! jump around feeder and do it all over again. Love this bird.
ReplyDeleteI love that I hear them long before I see them. They fly so fast back and forth it becomes a game for me to find out where the heck they are! It's a miracle I even got this shot although they had been at my feeder for a couple of hours.
ReplyDeleteAmazing shots my colpliments Rosemary
