This Pinkie Winkie Hydrangea is a beauty for all seasons.

Summer 2012

In the spring it's creamy white with pink-blushed tips.
Now, it's a ruby-red WOW!

  5. I love pinkie winkie, but do not have it myself. It reminds me of vanilla icecream cones drizzled with raspberry juice.

    1. Rosemary, that is the perfect description! This hydrangea is new to my garden and I am loving the way it looks. I have just purchased two more, a sure sign for something to go wrong with it next year, now that I will have three :)

  9. Its a transformation to such a dazzlingly hue of ruby red. Mine just change to a deeper but mellow maroon.

    1. This particular bush stands all by itself, while two others I have are surrounded by tall flowers. I've noticed that this stand-alone one is the brightest red while the others are more maroon. I wonder if this plays a role in the fall colour.
