Fly Away

Hope is the thing with feathers,
That perches in the soul,

And sings the tune without the words
And never stops at all.
~ Emily Dickinson ~

And why not give a seed feathered wings

so it can fly off to settle in new lands.

(The first plant is a clematis and the last is milkweed)

  3. Images like this are so magnetic and evocative, I believe they would have made Emily leave her room and get to the garden – just to see what you and your camera saw.

  4. These feathery seeds look truly amazing. For a moment I thought that you have plucked out a bunch of bird's feathers for the second image.

    1. Thank you Rick, you've left me with a beautiful image, that's the same thing I used to do with my children. There is something so magical about the way the wind scoops up the seed and brings it to life. I'll use any excuse to feel like a kid again :)
