Un Beau Chateau

The first stop on our trip to France:
A visit to my husband's uncle.
He is an architect by profession and, with his wife, designed, built and decorated this countryside chateau in Normandy.
It is breathtakingly beautiful and a delight to the senses.

The interior has windows and doors at every turn allowing you to see one amazing view after another from wherever you are inside the house.

The grounds of the property include a fruit orchard, walkways lined with manicured hedges, hundreds of rose bushes, a large pond surrounded by weeping willows, rolling hills and a gurgling creek.
Pretty much my definition of heaven!
Unfortunately, it was pouring on the day I chose to take pictures and I had to stop when the water soaked me to the knees.

    1. I agree with you Tammy, they have found themselves a perfect place. Because it was raining, most of the photos I took were from inside the house looking out!
