France! Food first, gardens later...

I've just returned from a short but glorious trip to France.
We visited some stunning estates in the Loire valley,
spent the night at a vineyard,
walked through the gardens of Versailles,
finishing with a whirlwind tour of Paris.

Here are some of my favourite things:

Each day starts with Cafe au Lait

Fresh baguettes at every turn!

Store windows filled with treats, baked fresh daily.
Before you know it you're hungry again!

A late supper over looking the vineyards.
Picture perfect.

  1. Looks like you had a lot of fun, and more importantly a lot of great food. All of those delicious baguettes and cheese, I think I'm a bit jealous.

  3. Dear Rosemary - so pleased that you had a lovely time in France - yes I too am pleased that I have just eaten my supper, there is nothing like French baguettes and cheese. Look forward to seeing more of your trip. I love the Loire valley so hopefully you will have some lovely photos to remind me.

  4. Wow!!! I love it! France. What a nice surprise! I like the portion sizes in France. I love the food. I don't like the price tage in some places like Paris:) Your pics have me missing those wonderful meals. Morning meals were the best. And the desserts, coffee?? The best! I can't wait to see more of you pictures. Sounds like it was a lot of fun. You guys look great!
