The Trumpet

While you are listening to the clear horn,

Forget, men, everything on this earth newborn,

Except that it is lovelier than any mysteries.

Open your eyes to the air
That has washed the eyes of the stars
Through all the dewy night.

Here is my trumpet-lined walkway which smells so heavenly that I slow my steps and stroll ever so slowly by, letting the perfume take me away.

  1. Rosemary, the lily "trumpet" is my weakness. Unfortunately they aren't hardy in our winter. Very nice lilies, you're lucky!

  3. Rosemary, that is a wonderful path up to your house. Talk about creating some fairy magic and frontyard appeal. Nice work!
