Soft Signs of Spring

Close your eyes

Do not peek

And I'll rub Spring

Across your cheek.

Fluffy as a kitten

Warm as fur

The only thing missing

Is the tell-tale purr.

White tufted cotton

Beneath a crimson hat

Clouds of pussy willows

 Imagine that!

  1. Excellent depth of field. You truly captured the mystery of this plant and turned it into a cosy sweater, I just want to rub my face in them. Hope I'm not allerfic! Good show Rosemary, keep up the good work.

  11. So beautiful! It's hard to believe these furry things grow on branches. I have never seen it. I have seen cut branches but not the actual shrub. Must be heavenly!

  12. Lovely pictures Rosemary, I haven't got any willow around here so I haven't seen these for years. Back where I am from these are called (translated to English) goslings, and they do look a bit like that, don't you think?
Hope you have a great week!

  28. Pussy willows ae not native to our country but come Chinese New Year time, tons of it would be imported for the celebration, mainly to decorate the homes. Your potography is wonderful. Sometimes it is not easy to photograph white with great clarity.

  33. As a kid, I would cut some of these branches off and put them in a vase for my mom. I loved the soft and fuzzy hairs. So pretty and your pics remind me of that memory...thank you:)
