Patience

Ah snow!

Lit by the sun
against the bright blue sky,
You're dazzling!

I wait
patient as a dove
fluffed and ruffled
quiet and still.

I know you won't remain much longer.
A few days of warm temperatures

and you'll be
a beautiful memory.

  9. Gorgeous pictures! I think I prefer snow and blue skies to this freezing cold, lots of wind and clouds. I actually felt much better when everything was covered in snow ;-) A blue sky lifts up the spirits as well, certainly in my case. I hope we get to see one soon now.

  16. We had a weird spring storm blow through last night and leave a few inches of snow. I'm done waiting for spring because I have pops of yellow daffs already brightening up the garden. I'm just enjoying the weirdness while it lasts. :o)

  22. Hi Rosemary, your first photo of the tree with the snow is indeed dazzling! The bird that you are showing in your post looks like the mourning doves that we have here in Southern California. Can it be that are also living in your neck of the woods? Hope warmer weather is coming soon for you!

    1. Thank you Christina, the snow was so wet and heavy that it stuck to everything it landed on! I believe we share the same species of mourning dove although why on earth they would choose to be here instead of sunny Southern California is a mystery to me :)
