Hang On!

The world is round
And the place which may seem like the end
May also be only the beginning.

~ Ivy Baker ~

I've added to this post a link to a wonderful story.
For me, the picture has captured so many things: a moment, a relationship, serenity, love, devotion, and that time can be finite.

For all those photo-bloggers around the world, know that your pictures can and do make a difference in the lives of others.

"I'm still dumbfounded. A picture can join the world together in joy and happiness? It can cross barriers of language, culture, religion? And it has crossed barriers -- it has crossed every one."  ~ John Unger ~

  1. Wow! Such beautiful photos! I love how you have the flowers off to the side instead of full-on. It's really attention-grabbing.

  3. Absolutely! I was thinking about that on the way to work today.....photography is important in that it can transform people and change the way they see things. Video and more importantly are still as valid today as they were when the first camera came into being:)

    1. This is one of the reasons I love nature blogs, they're sending out all this good Earth karma, I hope we can convince people to pay attention, take notice and care!

  4. Did you take the last picture? What's the story behind it? I'm not sure my pictures are worth 1,000 words, more like 10 to 20. :o) LOVE your sunflowers!

    1. No, I didn't take the picture of the man and his dog. Isn't it awesome! Click on the link in blue, "A picture is worth a thousand words" to go to the full story, it's worth reading and will touch your heart :) All we can do is put the pictures out there and hope people will see them.

  5. I happen to know the story behind the photo. The dog is very old and arthritic and every evening the owner (who looks a little like John Lennon) holds the dog in the water to make the dog feel better. When I read this it brought tears to my eyes! Great floral photos--absolutely beautiful!
