Unwrapping Spring

I don't know about you

But when I unwrap
the burlap
from around my plants
in the Spring

It's like opening presents on
Christmas Day

I'm
Curious

Excited
(and often)
Surprised
By what I find inside :)

  3. Wow. I'd completely forgotten about that magical moment. We used to live in New England, and I remember unwrapping the plants--it was wonderful. Now that we live in the South, I don't have to cover the plants. Thanks for reminding me of the memories!

  9. I don't use burlap wrapping but I do use hardware cloth. Just removed it this past weekend, and it is a pleasure to get it out of the garden.
