Otherworldly,
they seem to appear,
overnight.
Mysterious,
egg-shaped packages
that rise atop long slender rods.
Their thin skins bulge
until they split
forced open by the blooms
they can no longer
contain.
The birth of an Allium
is an extraterrestrial experience
and a joy to witness.
Their colour varies
at every stage of their growth,
time of day,
and slant of the sun.
Allium twins
It is always surprising, the beauty of nature. Lovely photo's. Groetjes, Hetty
