Memories blur together
Some fade away
Like the changing weather
None are here to stay...
That's the way memories go for me,
until I see Forget-Me-Nots.
How appropriate that each time I see these flowers
I think of my Mother.
They were one of her favourites.
I love their delicate, simple petals,
painted in an ever-changing
array of soft pastels.
array of soft pastels.
They wander through my garden,
appearing not where I planted them
but where I most need them.
Beautiful, dependable, strong,
each center adorned with
a heart of gold;
each center adorned with
a heart of gold;
They always put a smile on my face.
die mag je ook nooit vergeten je hebt er zodoende een dubbel mooie serie van gemaakt.

Beautiful prose and photography! I scattered several seeds packets but only got a few small plants and none bloomed. I think I'll scatter them in the fall this year. I think they need a cold freeze/thaw cycle to grow. :o)
ReplyDeleteHello Rosemary!
ReplyDeleteBack to discover another post with a gorgeous little flower.
You definitely have a way of bringing out the best with lots of details, and their soft pastel colors are a true wonder!
