How are those dreams coming along?
November 2011 |
It was just a few months ago that I wrapped up the blueberry bushes and corralled the sprawling lavender plants into a stiff upright form to protect them from the snow.
Look at them now!
I bet they're happy to have me as their gardener!
Aren't you glad you protected your dreams?
My veggie garden is protected now, as an ice storm rages outside, with plastic tarps. I hope all will be well tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteIce storms are the worst! I wish your plants well.
DeleteI don't have any plants that I need to protect from winter. I pull the annuals in early winter while the rest make it through on their own. Our winters are much milder than yours, though! I'm sure your blueberry bushes are grateful to have you!
ReplyDeleteIt must be nice to not have to worry about winter damage. I'm always amazed by the complexities of nature and understand, but can't quite fathom how my plants keep coming back to life in the spring!
DeleteDear Rosemary - I had to become a follower when I saw your name on Foxglove Lane. I share your name too, and there are so few of us around!
ReplyDeleteGlad you took the time to protect your plants. We have seen no snow so far this winter, fingers crossed, and my geraniums are still in flower.
